Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also performs music. She's the smallest woman and was the first person to be awarded an official British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shankar is the hottest young star of the Indian sitar. She is the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. Born in London She spent her beginning of her career traveling between London and New Delhi. In the age of thirteen she staged her debut performance in New Delhi. After moving to Encinitas, CA in 1999 she received the high-school degree. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman nevertheless, she has an remarkable career in the field of recording and performing. She frequently joins her father during performances, something she's been doing for quite a few years. In 1998, she released her first self-titled album Anourag. The Grammy-nominated Live at Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. Stage performance is a large part of her career. She's performed at many famous venues around the world. Anoushka Shakar's talents are not just limited to music. In 2002, she released the book Bapi The love of My Live this is an illustrated biography that gives a special tribute to her father Ravi Shankar. In 2003 she starred as a Bharat natyam young dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka is continuing to advance in her professional career, and will surely be other things to be expected from this talented lady. Anoushka Shankar was born and raised in England and spent much of her childhood in London and Delhi later relocating to California in the state where she attended the high school. Anoushka Shankar began her musical studies at age nine. After four years she performed her appearance on the sitar in Delhi during her father's 75th birthday party. Anoushka performed with her father on his worldwide tour, gained an impressive quantity of knowledge. When she was in her teens, she performed at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD as well as recorded with George Harrison. In the end, The House of Commons Shield was given in her honor from the British Parliament as the most renowned Asian Arts musician. She is the only female and is the smallest recipient of the prize.
