Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. She is most famous for her character Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also appeared as Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting when she was in the Preparatory School. In the late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. Her studies in theatre took place through Northwestern University. A semester was completed at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the theatre in the Chicago area for several years prior to trying her luck in TV as well as film roles. Anna got her first major part in the role of Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in the year 1992. Anna continued appearing in films and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late the 1990's. Then she was placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was one of her roles. Gunn was also on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn starred in a four-part audio play podcast called Numbered Days. The story of Breaking Bad is driven by the relationship between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their difficult relationship. The decline of their relationship is in line with Walter White's last years.
